Complete peace of mind for the homeowner – regular, pre-scheduled checks and tests of your electrical systems, plus priority attention and access to discounted products.
Over many years of working with our clients, we have found that they need help on a regular help with their electrical systems. People asked us for a package where we take care of everything for them, so we did just that. This VIP package is a limited-numbers offer – as we want to be able to fully support all those who have signed up. To see if this could be a good fit for you, let me walk you through the benefits.
We tailor each package to your needs, whether you are:
See below for a full list of the included package features.
Having a pre-agreed package means you no longer have to worry about:
Our VIP customers are then able to tick off other to-do’s on their lists, since their time is freed up from the mundane tasks that usually come as part of responsibility for electrical maintenance.
This special offer is by invite-only (meaning you can’t just ring us up and ask for this service) and that means:
We have different levels and different prices so each customer package is tailored case-by-case, but starting from £20+VAT per month (per property). Below is our current list – this will be expanded over time, giving you even more added value in the future!
The VIP package is designed to help homeowners maintain their electrical installations without worry. Electrical systems often go unnoticed, but this package spreads the cost, so when electrical testing is due, there is no large bill to worry about.
We set reminders for your electrical tests and let you know when they are due, ensuring everything stays in good shape.
The VIP package includes reminders for electrical checks, covers the cost of inspections, and ensures that essential safety standards like surge protection and RCBOs are in place from day one.
Yes, in order to offer this service at a low price, we need to ensure that certain safety standards are met from day one. This typically includes having up-to-date smoke alarms, RCBO protection, surge protection, and in-date electrical testing. This helps prevent issues, breakdowns, and unnecessary call-outs.
It is in our best interest to prevent breakdowns, so for example, if you have an immersion heater, we would replace the thermostat yearly to avoid wear and ensure hot water availability.
Great question! The idea is that we save time and money by not having to constantly market and advertise for new work. VIP members tend to need ongoing work, which reduces overhead costs. We pass those savings on to our VIP clients in the form of discounts.
No, you are not locked into a contract, and you are free to leave at any time. Likewise, we could end the scheme with you, but we would give notice or refund any membership fees for the previous month.
However, we aim for long-term commitment with clients, as it doesn’t work if clients are frequently entering and leaving. If a VIP member chooses to opt out, it’s unlikely we would consider re-enrolment.
We won’t send a Direct Debit mandate. Instead, you will receive a recurring invoice each month, as with any other work. You can set up a standing order or pay month-to-month – you keep full control over your payments.
If you miss a payment, you will receive a reminder. However, if payments are missed repeatedly, it could result in the end of your membership, depending on the circumstances.
No, the price you enter the VIP service at is fixed for life. This may seem counterintuitive, but it rewards loyal customers and removes any worry about price hikes. As time goes on, we will increase the VIP price for new clients, but the price you start at will never change.
The 25% VIP discount only applies to work done by us. While there is nothing stopping you from using another electrician, each electrician is responsible for signing off their own work. As long as you use a reputable electrician, there should be no issue.
When we conduct our five-year electrical checks, we will present our report as normal. If any faults are found from another electrician’s work, you can approach them to get it fixed under warranty. We will only advise on the issue, not police it.
No re-inspection is needed if the work is done by a qualified electrician who provides certification.
Yes the cost of a callout is covered, however any materials or extra time needed on the job would be chargeable, but remember you will still benefit from the 25% discount. The usual cost of a callout is around £150 inc VAT – so two callouts in a year you have got your money back.
We aim for a same-day response (within 24 hours) for emergencies. The installation of RCBOs reduces the need for an urgent response.
PAT testing is more applicable to commercial properties like holiday homes, and for those properties, it is included in the VIP package.
The residential VIP package starts at £20+VAT per month, but commercial clients would pay more to cover additional services like PAT testing and emergency light testing.
Surge protection prevents high voltages from damaging electronics. RCBOs provide individual circuit protection, making it easier to identify and fix faults without disrupting power to multiple circuits.
A new fuse box with RCBOs and surge protection is recommended for best practice. The cost will be evaluated based on replacing circuit breakers or installing a new fuse box – a typical new fuse box installation is £890 inc VAT (includes testing and certification).
The entire system will be tested and certified. Surge protection will be updated, and smoke detectors will be checked and improved if needed.
If you already have an RCBO fuse box, you may be able to enter the VIP service smoothly, as many of the entry requirements will already be met. The service offers cost savings on callouts, electrical tests, and maintenance of items like immersion tank thermostats.
Yes, the VIP service covers external work such as cable runs.
Not at the moment, but we can tailor the VIP package to include these services if requested.
The VIP membership is limited by the number of members we can serve. If we offer you a place, we will ask for a decision reasonably quickly, as we move on to offer membership to other clients if a decision is not made.
The VIP package is a permanent feature of our service, but spaces are limited to ensure we can provide the highest level of service.
The VIP membership is limited. There are a few places left available, so if you want to benefit it is best to act quickly.
So far we have had no one leave the VIP membership.
At PD Electrical there are three central principles that guide all of our work:
